Job tittle - Pharmacist Place of performance - Mescalero, NM Pay - $85/hr Clear Job Description: Includes but not limited to: • Dispensing medications • Counseling patients • Reviewing patient medication profiles • Participating in COVID-19 vaccination efforts • Handling documentation in EHR • Attending department meetings • Adhering to HIPAA and IHS standards • Handling controlled substances and legal documentation Shift: Scheduled by the COR or Alternate COR at the IHS facility. Shifts are determined collaboratively between the scheduler and COR. Work Days: Not explicitly stated. Work schedule determined by the COR. Includes flexibility and rotation across duty sections as needed. Actual Certifications Needed: • Active pharmacist license(any U.S. state) • BLS certification • Valid driver’s license • Credentialing and privileges at MSU • Must complete: • Fingerprint cards • Background investigation • Child Protection Act training within 30 days Qualifications: • Proven experience as a pharmacist (resume must reflect relevant experience) • Able to distinguish basic colors • No operation of government vehicles (can be a passenger only) • Free of impairments affecting patient care Vaccinations: Required immunizations include: • MMR(Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 doses or documented immunity • Hepatitis B– 3 doses or declination form • Varicella– 2 doses or proof of disease/immunity • Tdap • Influenza– yearly (or valid exemption with mask requirement) • TB Test (PPD or IGRA)– within past 12 months, or chest X-ray for positives • Physical exam– within past 12 months EEO/AAP Statement We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals.
