Pharmacist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care through the safe and effective management of medications. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practices, medication administration, and patient service, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Pharmacist will work closely with healthcare professionals in a hospital setting to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care. Responsibilities • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy. • Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely. • Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions. • Administer immunizations as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication therapy as necessary. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and medication management. • Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Participate in IV infusion preparation and administration when needed. • Educate patients and staff on pharmacy-related topics, including anatomy knowledge relevant to medication therapy. Experience • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. • Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. • Experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred. • Knowledge of pharmacy systems and processes. • Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and education. • Familiarity with medication administration guidelines and best practices.
