Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital has served the greater San Diego community since 1977. We provide some of the region’s best care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs. Scripps Green Hospital is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Together we offer dozens of medical and surgical services, including cancer care, orthopedic surgery and organ transplantation. This is a full time position with 10-hour, night shifts, 7 days on followed by 7 days off, at Scripps Green Hospital. Includes $4,000 retention incentive and $3,000 relocation assistance for eligible new hires. We are the smallest of the acute care hospitals but that allows us to be a more cohesive and supportive unit. The pharmacy team is composed of highly skilled and knowledgeable pharmacist and technicians that are patient focused. Responsibilities include: • Primarily operation focused centrally based; participates in direct patient care as clinical competencies are approved and on approved shifts. • Documents the care provided to patients. • Supervises the drug distribution operation: responsible for assuring safe and effective alternatives as appropriate. • Contributes to the accomplishment of initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy. • Routinely communicates with physicians, nurses and patients regarding drug therapy. • Demonstrates ability to provide age-specific patient care as established for area and job title. • Demonstrates ability to perform competencies and prescription authorities as approved by the medical staff. The following are not eligible for hiring incentives: • Internal candidates • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago • Candidates with less than 1 year of experience In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met: • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter) • Must remain in original department/specialty • Must remain in original Job Title • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter. #LI-EE1 Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: • BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree Required Certification/Registration: • California Pharmacist License • AHA BLS • ACLS certification required prior to being trained to respond to codes, can be obtained within 6 months of hire Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: • PGY1 residency or 3 years' experience in relevant practice area. Position Pay Range: $75.24-$94.06/hour
