Pharmacist in Charge

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is looking for a flexible schedule with the potential to transition into a full-time role. The PIC will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, and providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. • Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians. • Ensure efficient workflow and a positive, collaborative work environment. • Responsible for all aspects of medication dispensing and inventory management. Compliance and Quality Assurance • Maintain strict adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those from the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and DEA. • Ensure all pharmacy practices meet the highest standards of quality and safety. • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance. Patient Care • Provide expert counseling and advice to patients regarding their prescriptions and medication therapy. • Resolve patient concerns and inquiries in a professional and timely manner. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Leadership and Training • Serve as a role model and mentor for all pharmacy staff. • Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations for team members. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
