Position Summary As the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for AllRx Pharmacy, you will be the foundational leader and regulatory captain of our Alhambra pharmacy. You are responsible for turning AllCare's innovative vision into a daily reality by ensuring the pharmacy's operational excellence, clinical integrity, and full compliance with the California Board of Pharmacy. This role goes beyond traditional pharmacy management; you will be building and leading the team that powers a technology-driven service, directly impacting the care delivered to thousands of residents in our partner facilities. Success in this role is measured by your ability to build a scalable, safe, and efficient operation that serves as a reliable backbone for the entire AllCare ecosystem. Key Responsibilities As the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), you will have ultimate responsibility for the pharmacy's performance and compliance. Your primary duties will include: • Pharmacy Leadership & Management: Assume full responsibility for the pharmacy's compliance with all California Board of Pharmacy regulations, including maintaining all records, licenses, and inventories as required by law. • Team Management & Development: Hire, train, supervise, and schedule all pharmacy staff (pharmacists and technicians), fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Operational Excellence: Oversee all daily pharmacy operations, including fulfillment, dispensing, clinical services, and inventory management, ensuring efficiency and accuracy meet AllRx's high standards. • Controlled Substance Stewardship: Maintain strict control and accurate records for the ordering, storage, and dispensing of controlled substances. • Process & Protocol Improvement: In collaboration with AllCare.ai leadership, develop, implement, and refine pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize safety, efficiency, and scalability. • Vendor & Facility Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the California State Board of Pharmacy, drug suppliers, and our partner facilities for operational and compliance matters. • Technology System Oversight: Serve as the super-user and primary point of contact for the pharmacy management system, ensuring it is used effectively and reporting any technical issues. Qualifications & Skills Required • Valid Pharmacist license in good standing with the California State Board of Pharmacy, eligible to be named the PIC. • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. • 7+ years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a pharmacy. • Comprehensive knowledge of California pharmacy law, particularly relating to LTC and PIC responsibilities. • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a team. • Exceptional problem-solving, operational, and communication skills. Preferred: • Previous PIC experience in a retail, LTC, or mail-order setting. • Experience with pharmacy start-ups, new system implementations, or high-growth environments. • Strong business acumen and experience with inventory management and financial metrics.
