Schedule: Open flexible availability needed This role will be performedonsiteat aclosed-door pharmacyin Jacksonville, FL.All patient interactions will be over the phone. • Comprehensive training provided side by side with training team. • Must be comfortable working in a high-volume environment. • We offer full time benefits including health, vision, dental andmatching 401koptions. Ensures that daily medication dispensing, IV preparation and compounding function smoothly and efficiently. Actively communicates with the Director, Pharmacy Operations to identify and resolve production-related issues in a timely fashion. Ensures that the pharmacy is compliant with all State and Federal laws and regulations, as well as, performs all the functions of a staff pharmacist. Oversees controlled substances and is responsible to the State Board of Pharmacy for Compliance with Regulations and Statutes. Attributes Required: • Work Ethic/Integrity – must possess intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophy • Leadership – ability to lead project teams to deadlines, while maintaining strong team orientation • Strategy and Planning – ability to think ahead, plan and manage time efficiently • Problem Solving – ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both a strategic and functional level • Team Oriented – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members Essential job functions (include the following): • Supervises the Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and manages daily production to ensure all duties are completed in a timely fashion to meet delivery schedules • Ensures workflow processes and staffing are designed to support accurate and timely prescription dispensing • Fully competent and able to perform Staff Pharmacist responsibilities; work as a scheduled pharmacist on the floor among the staff at least 75% of the time • Communicates regularly on a daily basis with the Director, Pharmacy Operations regarding issues or concerns that impact timely production, safety, or compliance • Ensures that pharmacy processes and record keeping systems are in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations • Ensures that newly hired Pharmacists are trained • Assists the Director, Pharmacy Operations in staffing/scheduling to ensure appropriate licensed coverage as required by Board of Pharmacy • Oversees all CII ordering, inventory control systems, and dispensing to ensure proper record keeping and dispensing within State and Federal regulations • Maintains 797-Compliance program to include proper training, documentation and program revision as necessary • Evaluate workflow processes and implement changes as necessary to achieve greater efficiency, safety and/or regulatory compliance • Assist with pharmacy student evaluations, assignments and daily duties • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently; provides input for Pharmacist, Fulfillment and Data Entry reviews • Occasional customer relations duties as assigned • Special projects or other duties as assigned • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed Education and/or Certifications: • Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. required • State Pharmacist License required without restrictions Skills and Qualifications: • 5+ years pharmacist experience preferred, preferably in high-volume pharmacy • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction • Great attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate • Excellent computer skills, including pharmacy operations system knowledge Work Environment: • Ability to work flexible hours What We Offer: Guardian provides employees with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, supporting our core value of, “Treat others as you would like to be treated.” Compensation & Financial • Competitive pay • 401(k) with company match Family,Health & Insurance Benefits (Full-Time employees working 30+ hours/week only) • Medical, Dental and Vision • Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts • Company-paid Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • Company-paid Long-Term Disability and optional Short-Term Disability • Voluntary Employee and Dependent Life, Accident and Critical Illness • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Wellbeing • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Guardian Angels (Employee assistance fund) Time Off • Paid holidays and sick days • Generous vacation benefits based on years of service The Guardian Difference Our clients require pharmacy services that aren’t “cookie cutter.” That’s why every Guardian pharmacy is locally operated and empowered with the autonomy to tailor their business to meet their clients’ needs.
