Pharmacy Director

Summary: Responsible for 24-hour direction and delivery of pharmaceutical services. Assures quality, patient-centered medication management, and resource and fiscal controls. Promotes an environment of professional growth and collaboration with all members of the healthcare team at Barlow Respiratory Hospital. Maintains appropriate staffing and oversees clinical quality. Ensures policies and quality standards (The Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, Title 22, California Board of Pharmacy, CDPH, DEA and FDA) are met. Qualifications: Experience, Education and Licensure Required: • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Pharm.D. preferred. • Current Registered Pharmacist in the State of California. • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care hospital, including at least two years of supervisory experience. • Current BLS and ACLS certification. • High level knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation, Title XXII, Joint Commission requirements, California Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations, and other pertinent rules, statutes evaluated by the CDPH. • Experience with contemporary pharmacy technology tools and practices.
