Job Description
PHP Web Developer
ON-SITE.We are seeking a FULL-STACK PHP Web Developer for our eCommerce Development Team. Applicant would be working with existing Dev Team and must have a good concept of OOP and using frameworks such as LARAVEL. Must also have experience working in a LAMP environment, be proficient with front end coding (HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, etc.) and comfortable working with SQL, APIs and CMS/CRM/SAAS integrations. WOULD BE WORKING A LOT WITH WORDPRESS/WOOCOMMERCE. MAIN PROJECT INCLUDES DEVELOPMENT OF OUR PRODUCT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THOUSANDS OF ITEMS. MUST BE A SELF MOTIVATOR WITH A TEAM-ORIENTED MINDSET.
Qualifications Needed
· At least 3 years recent experience with PHP 7+, SQL and Frameworks (we use Laravel).
· At least 3 years recent experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery.
· Proficient with OOP programming that incudes building code that can be modular and reusable.
· Proficient with MySQL/MariaDB and comfortable writing SQL queries.
· Proficient with APIs and comfortable working with Wordpress Plugins and configurations.
· Proficient with CMS, CRM, SAAS and other integrations that includes shopping carts such as WooCommerce.
· Good understanding of Linux and Version Control (GIT).
· Good understanding of HTML and Restful Web Services.
· Must be able to integrate code that is outsourced.
· Good communication skills (both written and oral).
Primary Responsibilities
· Developing quality code for our eCommerce Platforms.
· Working on new features/functionality while testing your own code.
· Working with 3rd party APIs to integrate into our system.
· Working with team to integrate back-end components such as APIs, Dynamics CRM, and databases.
· Working to integrate other major external systems including ERP, OMS, payment gateway system, middleware, and other systems as needed.
· Maintaining our websites, web services and internal scripts/programs.
· Code review other programmers work, suggest improvements when needed and merge outsourced programming.
· Writing comments in your code as a rule, not an exception.
· Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, maintain dependencies, and apply security updates.
· Neat, efficient, and well-documented coding practices a must.
Education:
• High School Diploma
• Bachelor’s Computer Science (Preferred but not required)
Experience:
• Web development: 3 years (Required)
• PHP: 3 years (Required)
• SQL: 3 years (Required)
