IBM Systems in Israel is seeking a highly motivated M.Sc. student in Electrical Engineering to join our Physical Design team in Givatayim. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the physical implementation of IBM’s next-generation CPUs developed using our most advanced silicon technologies.
Role Overview
As a student engineer you will be part of a team responsible for the physical design of digital blocks from RTL to final implementation. You will work with advanced tools and flows including synthesis and place-and-route and collaborate closely with logic designers and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the physical design of digital blocks from RTL to RIT (Ready for Integration and Test)
- Perform synthesis and timing analysis to ensure design quality and performance
- Collaborate with logic design teams to resolve design and implementation challenges
- Contribute to the development and optimization of design flows and methodologies
- Current student in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc. preferred B.Sc. 3rd year also considered)
- Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals and VLSI concepts
- Self-motivated independent and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Fluent in Hebrew and English
