HOSPITAL MEDICINCE: Physician Assistant (PA)

Position Highlights:

• Position: Physician Assistant (PA) – Division of Hospital Medicine
• Location: Swedish Hospital Chicago IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full-time
• Hours: 12-hour shifts - Rotating holidays and weekends required.
• Required Travel: n/a

Our Physician Assistants are integral members of a multidisciplinary medical group. The Physician Assistant performs comprehensive care in the inpatient setting. Working in a collaborative environment, the team consults with referring providers, nurses, and outpatient clinics.

What you will need:

• License:  Physician Assistant Licensure (PA) in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience: Prior PA experience in Adult Medicine, ER, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist Medicine preferred.

What you will do:

• Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease
• Provide patient education to promote wellness and prevent illness and injury for individuals, families, and communities.
• Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
