Physician Assistant Urgent Care

Geisinger ConvenientCare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in Buckhorn, PA. This site qualifies for a $15k recruitment incentive.

Geisinger ConvenientCare (Urgent Care) clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections along with routine health exams, immunizations, screenings and wellness services.

• Attractive schedule:

• Office Hours - Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 8:15 pm 
• Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am – 6:15 pm

• 14 rotating shifts/month – work every other weekend
• No overnight shifts – no mandated additional shifts
• Call approximately six nights per year – no direct patient call – for critical lab, CT, etc.
• Support staff – LPNs, Patient Access Reps and Rad Techs (when applicable)

Education and experience (Required):

Due to the autonomous nature of the position, Advanced Practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one and older, and have at minimum six months of Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Critical Care Advanced Practice experience.

The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.
