City of Hope Medical Group Seeks a Genitourinary (GU) Medical Oncologist to Join Our Duarte Faculty

The Department of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a medical oncologist who, in addition to general oncology, also has experience with GU Oncology.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Full-time hours, working with a renowned urology group and dynamic medical oncology group
• Primary clinical responsibility in the care of patients with prostate cancer, renal cell cancer, bladder cancer and other GU malignancies
• Protected research/academic time in a highly translational research environment with extensive clinical trial infrastructure
• Teaching responsibilities, training both fellows specializing in the broader area of medical oncology as well as fellows training for a career specifically in GU oncology

Join our nationally recognized team of medical, surgical, and radiation oncology specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical medical oncologist:

• Clinical responsibilities to include mostly outpatient and some inpatient treatment, with the opportunity to provide optimal treatment outcomes with compassionate patient-centered care

• Clinic based at Duarte main campus and San Gabriel Valley Network site
• Protected research/academic time in a highly translational research environment with extensive clinical trial infrastructure

  • Annual academic improvement fund up to $5,000
• Base Salary: $300k - $400k (base pay commensurate with qualified academic rank). Additional recruitment incentives available!
  • The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.
• Physicians working for City of Hope Medical Group are now eligible to apply for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program
• Relocation offered on a case-by-case basis

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate must participate in clinical research relevant to his/her specialty and demonstrate a commitment to research as shown by submission of publications and presentations on international and national stages
• The ideal candidate must participate in clinical or basic science research relevant to GU Oncology and demonstrate a commitment to research as shown by submission and presentation of abstracts in residency and published manuscript
• The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
• ABIM board eligibility/certification in medical oncology and/or hematology
