HL Welding Inc., has an IMMEDIATE need for PIPE WELDERS to work at a local shipyard in San Diego. For immediate consideration please submit your resume [email protected] apply directly on our website at hlweldinginc.com Job Description: • Weld a variety of metal surfaces and pipes using different types of welding equipment • Perform welding on shell plating, fabricated cast, or forged components according to specifications • Weld vessels, tanks, and other structural assemblies as required • Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions • Perform other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the role • Proficient in all positions: flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead • Skilled in SMAW, Flux-Core, TIG welding, and air arc gouging • Must pass a plate test in all positions and a 6G restricted fixed pipe test using FCAW and GTAW processes • Certified to operate high-reach equipment • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions in English • Must be able to hear warning signals and read/comprehend safety instructions, regulations, and warnings Qualifications: • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years as a Journeyman Pipe Welder. • Must be able to pass a hands on assessment. • Must possess a valid ID or Driver's License. • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical. • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
