What we offer Friendly Environment Flexible Hours Competitive Pay Vacation Pipe Welder Date Posted:February 7, 2025 Requirements of the position: • Read/write/speak English. • Demonstrate basic math skills. • Near vision acuity correctable to 20/20 or better. • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment. • Have a HS Diploma or GED. • Able to pass a security background check. • Able to pass a drug screen. • Must have a California driver’s license. • Must possess tools listed on the attached tool requirement list. • Must be able to follow specifications, blueprints, layouts, and work orders. • Must be able to work independently, or lead work teams to satisfactory accomplish an assigned task with little or no discrepancies. • Must be able to certify into the company with two certifications before getting hired and pass workmanship class, be proficient in flat vertical horizontal and overhead welding in arc, flux-core and TIG, thereafter, employee will be given the opportunity to acquire more weld certifications. • Welder should have the ability to identify whether the piping systems they are working on is gas free • When given a task he must be able to identify all the necessary equipment and insure he has the correct WPS and always be sure that a current hot work notice and or marine chemist certification is posted. Responsibilities: • Demonstrate knowledge of welding procedures and various types of welding equipment, Welder will be assigned to job task to weld structural and piping systems. Welder will have assistance setting up and breaking down and a fire watch while welding sometimes in confined areas, assist pipefitters, structural and sheet metal departments with welding assignment. • Welder shall initial every weld joint he accomplishes. • Welder must leave weld joins ready for inspection with his initials, welder should be familiar with the following; 009-12 , MIL-STD-22D and OSHA's safety requirements. • Responsible for maintaining tools and equipment in working order, occasionally keeps track of the equipment being sent out for repair. download a PDF applicationand email it back to us [email protected].
