Plastic Surgery Registered Nurse

Job Title:Plastic Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Plastic Surgery team. The RN will play a critical role in providing pre-operative and post-operative care, assisting with surgical procedures, educating patients, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the surgical journey. This role requires a strong clinical background, attention to detail, and a high level of patient care and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Operative Care: • Conduct patient assessments and review medical histories. • Educate patients on procedures, risks, and post-op expectations. • Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery. • Intra-Operative Support: • Assist the surgeon during procedures (if in-office). • Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as needed. • Ensure sterile technique and manage surgical instruments. • Post-Operative Care: • Monitor recovery and manage wound care. • Provide pain management and assess for complications. • Educate patients on home care, medications, and follow-up protocols. • Administrative and Clinical Duties: • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiologists, medical assistants). • Support clinic operations, including inventory and patient scheduling. Qualifications: • ActiveRN licensein Texas. • BLS and ACLS certification(required or willing to obtain). • 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in plastic surgery, dermatology, perioperative, or aesthetics. • Strong understanding of surgical protocols and post-op recovery. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Skills: • Experience with cosmetic injectables, lasers, or other aesthetic procedures. • EMR proficiency (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth). • Bilingual (if applicable to patient population).
