Platform Software Development Intern

This position is in partnership with the ESTIA School, located in Bidart. Only applicants from this institution will be reviewed and considered for the position. 

Complete an internship project at SOPHiA GENETICS whose mission is to build the future of AI-assisted medicine, joining the Team of Engineers as a Platform Software Development Intern.

Your mission: 

You will be part of a team of Engineers focused on developing web-modules and their microservices powering a multi-modal digital healthcare platform. 

You will be involved in: 

• Delivering of web-modules on our cloud-based web platform. This will include design, implementation and end-to-end testing. 

• Contribution to the design, development, and release phases of individual web components of the platform enabling genomics interpretation for our users. 

• You will actively participate in code and design reviews with other members of the team. 

• You are familiar with modern software engineering processes, have knowledge of tools, technologies, and best practices.

• Knowledge of Javascript/Typescript and other languages.

• Basic knowledge/experience with Front-End frameworks: React, Next JS, Node, JSX.

• Familiarity with various APIs (GraphQL & REST).

• You seek to exchange regularly and communicate effectively with other members of your team. 
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Gain hands-on experience in web development focused on cloud-based healthcare applications. 

• Understand how to integrate front-end frameworks with back-end microservices and APIs. 

• Learn how to design and test modern web applications in an agile environment. 

• Develop problem-solving skills in real-world software engineering tasks. 

 Location: Bidart, France 

University Partner: ESTIA Students – Applications will be given priority as part of the partnership between SOPHiA GENETICS and ESTIA.

Contract type: 6-month internship
