Plumbing Apprentice

Job Summary We are looking for an aspiring plumber to join our team as an Apprentice Plumber. You will learn the skills necessary to become a journeyman by working with a journeyman and a master plumber. As you gain experience, you may begin to complete some duties independently or with limited supervision. Duties and responsibilities • Primary responsibility is to assist plumbers as directed, follow work instructions, perform general plumbing tasks, static testing (to include detailed/accurately filled out post-test forms), camera inspections/scopes (to include narrated videos of sewer systems) and or repairs as but not limited to, Houston/San Antonio/Austin area as needed (within the State of Texas). These will be assigned by South Texas Operations Manager and office staff on an as needed basis. 2. Supply your own personal hand tools to perform work-related duties. We will give you a two-month notice about your upcoming CE class. The company will pay for your continued ED. Be punctual (on time in proper attire) to work, jobsites and call customers when on the way. • Follow and comply with all Local, State, and Federal guidelines and requirements to protect the Master Plumber's license. • You are always required to help keep your work vehicle clean and orderly (interior & exterior). Essential Job Duties • Stationary sitting/standing for long periods of time • Standing, sitting, squatting, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds intermittently • Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am- 5:00 pm. Other hours and weekends are based on business needs. Preferred: • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Required: • High school diploma or the equivalent. • Strict attention to detail, accuracy is imperative • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Bilingual a plus, but not required • Valid drivers license Compensation • A competitive hourly rate based on experience, skills, and education.
