Plumbing General Foreman

Position Overview ThePlumbing General Foremanis responsible for overseeing plumbing field operations, coordinating crews, managing schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities • Supervise plumbing crews on commercial and/or residential job sites. • Plan, assign, and monitor daily tasks, ensuring productivity and adherence to project timelines. • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to guide installations. • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company standards, and building codes. • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve issues and keep projects on schedule. • Conduct regular quality inspections to verify accuracy and completeness of work. • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. • Track labor hours, materials usage, and project progress; provide reports to management. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and personnel issues on site. • Support pre-construction planning, scheduling, and material procurement as needed. Qualifications • 7+ years of plumbing experience, with at least 3 years in a foreman or supervisory role. • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, tools, and installation practices. • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schematics, and technical manuals. • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. • Commitment to safety and proven record of maintaining a safe work environment. • Proficiency with mobile project management or scheduling software is a plus. • Plumbing license/certifications (where required by state) preferred. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
