Policy Communications Manager

About The Role

The individual will craft the policy advocacy strategy in the public sphere to win the public perception which will lead to higher acceptance of policy initiatives that the PPGR team advocates.The individual will also spearhead the PPGR team’s advocacy of governmental policies in the media and social media by leveraging his/her strong knowledge and networking among the national media leadership.

What You Will Do

• Develop the advancement of company’s policy advocacy initiatives with strategic communications plans
• ⁠Lead the creation, execution and dissemination of media publications &social media contents related to policy briefs, researches, op-eds, policy dialogues and other activities aiming to educate policy makers, the media and the general public in relation to the company’s policy initiatives. 
• ⁠Prepare proactive and reactive communications for policy and regulatory issues.
• ⁠Collaborate with Corporate Affairs team to prepare the company’s spokesperson for media and public engagements related to policy and regulatory issues.

What This Role Needs

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Law, Politics, International Relations, Economics or Social Sciences from a reputable university; 
• At least eight years in a managerial role within media companies or public policy and government relations, or in sectors such as think tanks, civil society organizations, or government which focus on policy advocacy through public channels.
• Established network among media stakeholders with a proven impact on policy decisions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and independent project management capabilities.
