Join us for an exciting new Mediterranean restaurant, located right by Little Island, and be a key player in crafting unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests. Position Summary: At OfCorsica, the Porter plays a behind-the-scenes but critical role in ensuring the restaurant and venue remain clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times. This role supports both the front-of-house and back-of-house teams by performing deep cleaning, waste removal, and operational upkeep, all while embodying the pride and integrity that defines Mediterranean hospitality. Tasks/Responsibilities: • Maintain cleanliness of all guest-facing and staff areas, including dining rooms, restrooms, kitchen spaces, and back-of-house zones • Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing surfaces • Remove trash and recycling regularly and ensure proper disposal in accordance with sanitation standards • Support setup and breakdown of service areas for daily operations and events • Replenish cleaning materials, paper products, and restroom supplies as needed Assist with deliveries, unloading product, and organizing storage areas • Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, patios, and exterior guest areas as applicable • Operate cleaning equipment safely and report maintenance or safety issues to management promptly • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) • Assist with other maintenance or support tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager or leadershipQualifications • Previous experience in a porter, janitorial, or custodial role preferred but not required • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and independently • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, walking, and standing for long periods • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment • Flexible schedule availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays • Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively with all departments We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at City Winery.
