The Postpartum Maternity Staff Nurse will report to the Nurse Manager of Mother-Baby/Postpartum within Women’s and Children’s Services and will collaborate closely with supportive Charge Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Obstetricians, Pediatric Hospitalists, Anesthesia, Social Work, and Case Management. The Postpartum Maternity Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive postpartum assessments, evidence-based couplet care, lactation and feeding support, post–C-section recovery management, patient and family education, discharge planning, and participation in quality improvement, while enjoying mentorship from friendly nurses and a diverse, interprofessional care team committed to empathy, safety, and belonging.
