Powder Coat Painter

Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and the ability to work with different materials. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets industry standards. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary. • Apply paint using various methods including airless paint spraying and traditional brush techniques. • Operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively during the painting process. • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure quality standards are met. • Assist in materials handling and inventory management as needed. Qualifications • Proven experience in painting, with knowledge of airless paint spraying techniques preferred. • Familiarity with machining processes and mechanical knowledge is a plus. • Experience in auto body repair or fabrication is advantageous. • Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely is desirable. • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is beneficial. • Proficient in using various power tools related to the painting trade. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
