Job Description

Role: Power BI Technical Lead

Location: PA

Job Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of BI Applications in PowerBI visualization tool
• Collaborate with internal and external technology and business partners to implement product changes
• Critically analyze business requirements, architect, and implement BI solutions.
• Produce ideas to Innovate and Optimize the BI solutions
• Produce detail design, guide junior developers, review code and test results, as required
• Define, develop and maintain effective BI solutions
• Provide Production support as required.
• Recommend innovations that enhance and/or optimize the reports landscape
• Communicate effectively with both the business and technical teams

Desired Skills

• Experience in migrating reports from ThoughtSpot (or equivalent BI tools) to PowerBI
• Development Experience working with Power BI
• SQL or Python development expertise
• Experience working with Snowflake and ETL tools like Informatica, ADF
• Experience working in AWS or Azure cloud environment.
• Experience working in insurance industry
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Experience working with Datawarehouse technologies
• Experience working with semantic models needed for reporting
• Experience with data conformance process
• Experience with CICD process
• Experience building business intelligence solution to support finance, underwriting and pricing.
• Experience monitoring and supporting production environment
• Strong understanding of technologies utilized in the industry and the ability to see their impact as well as enhancement management and product lifecycle development
• Knowledge of source code version control systems such as Git including branching/merging, resolving code conflicts, and 3-way and baseless merges

Required Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management of Information Systems, or related field required
• Minimum of 10+ years of BI Development experience.
• Hands-on development Experience using PowerBI.
• Development experience using DAX
• Development experience using Databricks and Snowflake or equivalent.
• Experience working with Insurance data organization.
• Good Analytical and Communication Skill
