Job Scope
Uses significant independent judgment and familiarity with the field to perform work. May be responsible for
administration of various moderate and high complexity departmental programs and may lead a group of
employees. May develop policies and procedures and oversee their implementation and execution.
Position Summary
The Power Platform Developer manages, develops, and supports the district’s Power Platform solutions ensuring
optimal performance and user experience. This role designs, develops, and implements solutions using Power BI,
Power Apps, and Power Automate to improve collaboration, enhance productivity and streamline business
processes. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, developing custom applications, automate workflows
and business processes, and providing technical support, documentation, and training to end-users
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and support Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, and Power Automate workflows to
enhance business processes and data insights.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly, data-driven solutions.
3. Provide user support, training, and documentation for Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the district’s Power Platform environment, and integrated
systems, including SharePoint.
5. Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
6. Coordinate with software developers and database teams to implement and maintain custom applications
and data solutions.
7. Experience with PowerShell, JavaScript, or other scripting languages.
8. Lead or contribute to medium-to-large projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
9. Stay current with Microsoft technologies and recommend improvements to enhance platform capabilities.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 4 years equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in developing, configuring, and administering and/or maintainingPower BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee(approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, ManagementInformation Systems or related field or 4 years equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in developing, configuring, and administering and/or maintainingPower BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions
• Experience working with MS SQL Server 2019+
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting
• Ability to work well within teams and communicate with diverse groups.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity, a collaborative leadership style and high ethical standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge in the following areas: Development of PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, orscripting languages.
• Build Power BI visuals as needed, create measures, create calculated columns using Power Query and DAX
• Add additional data sources to existing Power BI files
• Update and refine existing data models
• Understand integration of AI and natural language processing (NLP) within Power BI
• Understand Power BI service row level security, refresh schedules, and communicate with SAISD TenantAdministrator for troubleshooting
• Develops and maintains effective and positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
• Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for staff, including daily attendance,
punctuality, and confidentiality.

Work Environment:
• Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, teacher resource materials andequipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to position.
