Preschool/After School Teacher

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. This position will be working with our 2 yr old group in our after school program. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. M-F 2:45pm - 6:15pm Responsibilities • Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's development. • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their child's growth and development. • Organize activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students. • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Skills • Strong background in Early Childhood Education or related fields such as Childcare or Special Education. • Experience in babysitting or daycare settings is highly desirable. • Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. • Ability to educate young children through creative methods. • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners. • Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively. • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. • Must be patient, happy, and truly love children!
