Pricing Manager

Opportunity

Pricing Manager requires a multidisciplinary approach to competitive analysis, business strategy development, and retail experience applied together to unlock insights hidden within consumer reactions to pricing. You will use your talent for solving problems with data to guide performance and profitability gains and develop new analytics tools, models, and system requirements. You will be responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics, building relationships across the organization, managing third party vendors, executing pricing changes, and mentoring a team of Pricing Analysts responsible for making pricing decisions on thousands of SKUs in LL Flooring's assortment. Incumbents possess excellent quantitative/analytic skills and are able to influence strategic direction as well as develop tactical plans.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This role focuses on advancing the data, metrics, analysis and models to drive profitability and growth. In doing so, this individual will:

• Develop and drive the overall execution and compliance with LL Flooring's pricing strategies, structure and policies across all channels.
• Determine methodology, procedures and analytical approach for tactical pricing decisions that drive long- term benefit; evaluate impact of pricing strategy on product, market share, and overall total entity sales and profitability growth.
• Apply statistical modeling concepts to real world data and systems
• Build consensus with Merchandising, Store Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Legal and other stakeholders to understand requirements in support of business objectives.
• Research and analyze industry best practices for driving results through efficiencies and optimized pricing performance.
• Manage analysts conducting advanced analytics leveraging predictive modeling, data mining, data visualization, and optimization.
• Interpret disparate data/ complex data sets/ structured and unstructured data to deliver insights and develop solutions to achieve business objectives while working closely with technical staff and across teams
• Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions; summarizes and presents conclusions and actions; regularly present findings to stakeholders and executive team
• Translates complex analytical and technical concepts to non-technical employees; translates into business contexts which then enables stakeholders to make informed decisions
• Create testing pipelines that evaluate the impact of pricing decisions and communicates out to stakeholders

Additional Requirements:

• Experience working with PROS pricing intelligence and QL2 competitive intelligence tools
• Strong attention to detail with organizational, planning and time management skills
• High level of focus and composure under time constraints while executing multiple projects and programs concurrently

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required with coursework in Business Administration, Statistics, or Math preferred

Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:

• 3 - 6 years of data analysis experience, preferably in a retail environment
• Experience in creating business plans, forecasts and strategic roadmaps is preferred
• Experience in statistical analysis and data mining is preferred
• Experience in reporting and querying data warehouses is preferred

Computer Skills / Special Equipment Knowledge:

• Advanced skill in SQL, R programming language, MS Excel, including pivot tables and the ability to distill data from multiple sources into cogent reports.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Access, Publisher and SharePoint)
