Primary Care Position Available in Davenport, Iowa with Veterans Affairs

The Iowa Veterans Affairs Healthcare System is recruiting primary care physicians at these locations: Davenport, Burlington,

Waterloo and Dubuque.

• • You will be responsible for the delivery of primary care to patients enrolled in the panels at the Iowa City VA Healthcare

System. You will manage scheduled and unscheduled patients in the outpatient clinic setting.

• • Primary care providers in the outpatient setting are assigned a manageable sized panel of patients. Panel size is determined

through a complex formula which extracts local information regarding acuity of assigned patients, available support staff,

number of exam rooms, etc.

• • Collateral duties may include management of a subsection of primary care patients, such as spinal cord injury patients or

women veterans etc.

• • Participation in activities/committees/boards/projects may be necessary as dictated by strategic or other initiatives/taskings
  • You may be assigned duty as a supervising or collaborating physician for a mid-level provider and are expected to provide

clinical oversight and review.

• • Timely documentation is necessary in all areas.

Assistance with payment of medical school loans up to $200K may be available!
