Principal Engineer

We're looking for aPrincipal Engineerwho can lead our web development team while staying hands-on and contributing to the code base. We're looking for aPrincipal Engineerto lead from the front – architecting and coding complex systems while mentoring and managing a team of talented engineers. What You’ll Do • Lead by example: Architect, design, and develop cutting-edge web applications with Flutter (frontend) and backend systems using Rust, Go, and Python. • Team leadership: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, conduct code reviews, establish best practices, and foster a culture of high performance and collaboration. • Own the architecture: Make high-impact decisions on system design, scalability, and security in both the frontend and backend. • Hands-on development: Contribute high-quality, maintainable code across the full stack. • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and executive teams to shape features and ensure engineering solutions align with business goals. • Drive innovation: Stay on top of emerging technologies and guide the team toward continual improvement and modernization. You Should Have • 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role. • Deep hands-on experience inFlutter for web development. • Strong backend development expertise usingRust,Go, andPython(you should be able to architect and optimize distributed systems, APIs, and microservices). • Proven success leading engineering teams in a startup or high-paced environment. • Strong grasp of system design, scalability, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate. • A passion for clean, scalable code and building great developer culture.
