Summary of Role:

Develop frames bordering internal or client supplied chip designs to support the generation of semiconductor testsite and product masks at our semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and abroad for advanced technology development.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop frames bordering internal or client supplied chip designs to support the generation of semiconductor testsite and product masks at our semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and abroad for advanced technology development. Use or customize internally developed Process Design Kits (PDKs) as well as other physical design, layout and verification tools, to generate optical, electrical as well as overall frame structure, to enable reticle level designs to be defined. Create numerical representations and documentation of the frame for use during wafer manufacturing or post wafer operations by our foundry clients. Program, test, and support the frame generation infrastructure, both hardware and software readiness, to insure high availability and quality operation is sustained during development and production manufacturing. Remote work permitted.

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as Tapeout Engineer, Technology Development (TD) Engineer, or a related role. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field of study and 4 years of experience as Tapeout Engineer, Technology Development (TD) Engineer, or a related role in lieu of a Master's degree.
• Requires experience in: Tapeout; Lithography Processes; Mask Making Processes; Tcl; Perl; and SQL scripting. Remote work permitted.

Salary range: $117,978 - $158,600
