Job Description
The Role
We're looking for an exceptional Principal Product Manager to lead GoGuardian's flagship product, GoGuardian Admin, which protects tens of millions of K-12 students from inappropriate online content. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of PM experience, including experience with SaaS B2B products. This role requires an individual with a customer focus and the ability to develop a data-informed strategic roadmap to deliver products with strong ROI. Experience working with data scientists on ML/AI-informed products is a plus.
What You'll Do
- Deal with Ambiguity: Turn high-level business opportunities and many inputs into clear priorities and projects.
- Leverage data to drive outcome: Define/refine key inputs and success metrics at a product and feature level to ensure engineering and other resources are focused where they best support business outcomes. Work with engineering, data science and BI teams to ensure effective instrumentation and reporting. Use the data in your own decision-making and regularly report on your data to inform and persuade others. Â
- Lead strategic focus: Own and drive the short term and long term strategic roadmaps. Determine product plans based on thorough analysis of trade-offs and priorities. Exhibit product expertise that connects, understands and leverages customer needs, the competitive landscape, market trends, company-wide objectives, resources, assets and capabilities.
- Build products that customers love: We help protect students from inappropriate online content by developing solutions for IT Administrators and staff. You will
- Deeply understand customer needs: Talk with customers and prospects, analyze product and market data, evaluate competitors. Become the expert, and the strongest advocate for your customers.
- Experiment and learn: Develop hypotheses about how to improve the customer experience. Then test them in the fastest and cheapest way to decide whether to pivot or proceed (e.g., from using existing data to check assumptions to testing mockups with customers, from mockups to code).
- Deliver: Meet your commitments – and don’t just ship products, ship the right products. The “right” products meaningfully improve the customer experience, driving retention and acquisition to deliver on business outcomes.Â
- Cultivate close partnership with your delivery team: Develop and maintain a tight, productive working relationship with the engineering scrum team and broader delivery partners including data science, design and analytics.
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams. Leverage and encourage input from sellers, customer support, implementation and marketing. Similarly, actively champion your product to those teams, working through them to ensure the solutions you build benefit the widest possible audience.
- Keep management and stakeholders apprised of progress and challenges through regular reporting and as often as needed.
Â
Who You Are
