Role Summary
Splunk is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to support a team of marketing professionals responsible for the positioning, messaging and integrated go-to-market of Splunk AI Product capabilities. You will lead marketing efforts to support emerging AI capabilities and new customer acquisition. You will launch products and solutions, contribute to thought leadership, and open up new market opportunities for Splunk and our partners. You will collaborate with product, sales and marketing leaders from around the world to produce the collateral necessary for the Splunk field organization and partners to drive opportunities.
Experience in product and solution marketing with a big-picture approach is critical.
What you'll get to do
- Partner with product management and sales to craft and execute business, product, and GTM plans.
- Develop positioning and messaging for programs and products.
- Build key sales tools including presentations, solutions briefs, competitive analysis, and demos to improve sales effectiveness.
- Create compelling content for each stage of the buyers' journey for consumption online, in campaigns and events.
- Bring products and initiatives to life through integrated marketing spanning any and all channels -- web, social, demand gen, adoption, press, analysts, events, and more.
Must-have Qualifications
- 1-2 years of AI or ML relevant product marketing experience, with 8-10 years total of product marketing experience in enterprise software or relevant similar experience; customer-facing experience a plus.
- Amazing written and oral communications skills including ability to craft differentiated positioning and messaging, build effective sales content, and deliver compelling presentations.
- Experience planning and executing SaaS product launches including working within a tight timeline, securing customer references, and creating sales training and enablement materials for the field and partners.
- Technical aptitude and ability to discern complex product information into value based messaging
- Ability to represent Splunk at various speaking engagements including conferences, press interviews, and analyst briefings.
- Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth, sometimes ambiguous, and career-defining environment.
- Collaboration skills and shown success delivering results.
- Requires some domestic and international travel.
- BA or BS required; MBA preferred.
- Knowledge of AI and Machine learning, SaaS based products, data platforms, streaming analytics, data pipelining.

Note:
Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $160,000.00 - 220,000.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $144,000.00 - 198,000.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $129,600.00 - 178,200.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
