The Role

FL97 is seeking a dedicated and skilled Principal Scientist, Protein Sciences to join our team. The role will focus on peptide or antibody production, discovery, and engineering through hit optimization and lead identification. Familiarity with AI-guided protein design is a plus, and experience in leading teams and utilizing automated systems to assay therapeutic properties is a must.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and manage projects focused on peptide or antibody production, discovery, and engineering.
• Optimize hits and identify leads for therapeutic development.
• Utilize automated systems to assay protein binding, kinetics, and other therapeutic properties.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-guided protein design into the discovery process.
• Mentor and guide junior scientists and team members.
• Stay current with the latest scientific advancements and integrate new techniques and technologies into the research workflow.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• 9-10 years of experience in peptide or antibody production and engineering.
• Previous experience with mammalian cell-based protein production and functional assays.
• Proficiency in using high-throughput automated systems for assaying therapeutic properties and functions is required.
• Experience with AI-guided protein design is highly desirable.
• Experience with Python programming is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring scientific teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment
