Principal Software Engineer – Full-Stack (React/Python)

Position Overview We’re looking for aPrincipal Engineer (Full-Stack)to lead the design and development of robust, scalable applications across our healthcare platform. In this role, you’ll drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and work hands-on across the stack—building performant front-end experiences with React/TypeScript and scalable backend services in Python. You’ll be a key contributor to both our frontend and backend architecture, ensuring quality, maintainability, and performance across systems. This is a high-impact role where your technical leadership will help shape the direction of our core platform. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership • Lead architectural decisions for scalable, modular systems across front-end and backend. • Establish and enforce best practices in engineering, clean code, observability, and CI/CD. • Drive code reviews, mentorship, and continuous improvement across the team. • Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to ensure engineering solutions meet user and business needs. Full-Stack Engineering • Build and maintain high-quality front-end applications usingReact,TypeScript, andNext.js. • Develop and integrate backend services usingPython(Flask, Django, FastAPI), microservice architecture, and modern databases (PostgreSQL, NoSQL). • Prototype new features and conduct technical feasibility spikes. • Design and implement testable, observable systems that prioritize performance and zero-downtime deployments. • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to support continuous delivery pipelines. Requirements • 6+ yearsfull-stack software development experience, with a focus on scalable system design. • 6+ yearsof hands-on experience withReact.jsandTypeScript. • 6+ yearsof backend experience withPythonand web frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI. • Deep understanding of microservice design, API development, and distributed system architecture. • Strong knowledge ofPostgreSQLor other relational DBs and experience withNoSQLdatabases. • Experience in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Proficient in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. • Skilled in system monitoring, observability, and designing for uptime and reliability. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience withNext.js,Redux, or modern state management libraries. • Exposure tofunctional programmingprinciples and clean architecture. • Prior work inhealthcare, EHR integrations, or medical software is a strong plus. • Passion for clean code, design patterns, and maintainable architectures.
