We are seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to be our force multiplier in the Indonesian market.
This is a strategic role where you will leverage deep technical expertise in DevOps and cloud-native technologies to guide organizations through their cloud adoption journey ensuring they achieve efficiency security and scalability. You will play a critical role in driving impactful digital transformation across Indonesia.
The Solutions Engineering team serves as the primary technical resource and trusted advisor for our customers. We identify complex challenges and leverage our deep product expertise to design high-impact solutions.
As a Principal Solutions Engineer you will partner closely with Sales Executives and support the entire customer journey. This includes e.g. pipeline creation initial engagements achieving technical wins onboarding driving adoption and ensuring successful renewals. Your expertise and guidance will be crucial in helping Customers unlock the full potential of our solutions and achieve their desired business outcomes.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Serve as a strategic advisor: act as the lead technical advisor to key accounts engaging with both engineering teams (e.g. DevOps Security Platform Engineering) and C-level business stakeholders.
- Architect and influence: drive strategic infrastructure decisions through compelling presentations architectural design sessions customized demos and hands-on workshops.
- Drive value realization: guide customers through their cloud adoption journey designing technical solutions aligned with their strategic priorities to drive adoption and growth.
- Demonstrate business value: clearly articulate and prove the business value of HashiCorp solutions (e.g. Vault Terraform) in solving complex infrastructure automation and security lifecycle management challenges.
- Provide authoritative guidance: offer expert-level advice and guidance on modern infrastructure practices including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) cloud architecture containers orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and security automation (DevSecOps).
- Drive expansion and adoption: you drive customersβ return on investments within current product lines and promote the adoption of multi-product integrated solutions.
- Partner cross-functionally: collaborate closely with Solutions Architecture Customer Success Product Management Support and Engineering to ensure customer success and provide market feedback from the field.
- Maintain technology expertise: you will establish and maintain a deep understanding of the HashiCorp portfolio the partner ecosystem and the competitive landscape
We are seeking candidates with deep technical expertise and strong communication skills. We highly encourage to apply strong practitioners (e.g. Senior SREs DevOps Leads Platform Engineers) looking to transition into a strategic customer-facing business role to apply too!
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in a Technical Pre-Sales/Sales Engineering role OR equivalent hands-on experience in a senior DevOps SRE or Cloud Architecture role. Experience implementing solutions in large enterprise environments is essential.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): expert proficiency with IaC principles. Hands-on preferably production experience with Terraform is mandatory.
- Cloud: deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS GCP or Azure) including core services (VPC IAM compute managed K8s).
- Container Orchestration: strong practical experience with Kubernetes (K8s) including managed services like EKS GKE or AKS.
- Dev/DevSecOps Principles: demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipeline architecture (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI Azure DevOps) and methods of authentication of distributed services (e.g. mTLS PKI JWT JIT)
- Communication and Influence: excellent verbal and written communication skills (Bahasa Indonesia and English) with the proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences (from engineers to executives).
- Travel: ability to travel domestically within Indonesia as needed with occasional international travel required.
- HashiCorp Portfolio: hands-on experience with at least 2 solutions in the HashiCorp stack (e.g. Vault Consul Nomad) and broader IBM Automation and RedHat portfolio.
- Security and Indonesian best practices: u nderstanding of security architecture integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory domain relevant to the Indonesian market.
- Observability: experience with observability stacks and logs monitoring.
- Technical Certifications: relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional CKA HashiCorp Certified).
