Private Chef

We are looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our clients at Purposes Recovery. Purposes Recovery is a Detox/Residential treatment center located in Los Angeles, California. We provide an interdisciplinary therapeutic drug rehab designed to address the root causes of addiction. With an emphasis on evidence-based drug and alcohol treatment methods, our facility offers the advanced clinical techniques necessary for treating addiction. Chef responsibilities include setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you. Responsibilities • Prepare Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for clients. • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales • Ability to modify recipes to meet client needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy) • Monitor food stock and place orders • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area Skills • Experience as a Chef or Cook • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers) • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks • Excellent time management abilities • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes • Familiarity with sanitation regulations • Culinary school diploma preferred Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Salary: $21.50 per hour Benefits: • Paid time off Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday Experience: • Culinary experience: 1 year (Preferred) • Cooking: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: • Food Handler Certification (Required) Work Location: • One location Work Remotely: • No Work Location: One location Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule • Paid time off Work Location: In person
