PRN Express Care Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical exams, to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Administer treatments, medications, and immunizations per established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
• Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care when necessary.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and follow-up care.
• Accurately document clinical findings and treatments in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Support clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
• Remain up to date on express care protocols, evidence-based guidelines, and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid and active Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Virginia.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in express care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field preferred.
