Process Lead

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Vacaville, CA

Shift: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Pay Rate: $30.28/hr. (bi-weekly pay)

What we’re looking for 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) is required 

• Experience:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in customer service, purchasing, or account management

• Flexible and adaptable to daily changes

• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred 

• Spill containment , IATA, DOT, IMDG and Hazwoper training a plus

• GMP and GLP training a plus

• CPR training and OSHA Right to Know preferred

• Inside sales experience and cross-referencing skills a plus

• Potential to manage Scientific Services

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Oversee the stock-out tracker, CRM tools, and team processes.

• Monitor metrics and lead times.

• Develop and maintain SOPs, SOWs, SPIs, and KPIs.

• Serve as a liaison among customers, Avantor services, and Avantor sales.

• Supervise inventory management, shipping, and receiving processes.

• Collaborate with lab operations, facilities, and various carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx).

• Manage material orders, procurement (including creating material orders), assess required orders, and input data into the customer computer system.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$58,000.00 - $97,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
