About the Role: 

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team and support our expanding operations, with a primary focus on large scale construction projects. While this position is open to applicants from all locations, the role is intended to be based in Ohio and involves close collaboration with local project managers, conducting site visits, optimizing supplier/contractor evaluations, and overseeing construction progress. As a key contributor to our procurement strategy, you will ensure the seamless execution of projects, foster strong supplier/contractor relationships, and drive cost efficient procurement solutions.

What you will be responsible for:

Strategic Procurement Management

• Oversee procurement processes to align with company objectives and project needs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to create procurement strategies tailored to construction projects.

Supplier/Contractor Coordination & Supervision

• Evaluate and maintain productive relationships with local suppliers and contractors.
• Conduct regular project site visits to enhance collaboration with on-site project managers.
• Monitor construction progress and oversee delivery schedules.

Cost Optimization & Compliance

• Negotiate contracts to achieve cost efficiencies without compromising quality or deadlines.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.

Project Support

• Provide comprehensive procurement support for large-scale construction initiatives, including material sourcing, project timeline oversight, and risk mitigation.
• Facilitate on-time delivery of critical materials and services to meet project milestones.

How you will stand out:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in construction related projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and conduct effective site visits.
• Proficient in negotiation, analytics, and organizational management.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Competence in evaluating and managing project budgets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes be exposed to heat, noise, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The exposure will not be constant but could occupy a large amount of a person’s time during the day while on-site. Safety & Noise reduction equipment will be provided by the company. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The role allows working remotely flexibly where necessary.
