JOB SUMMARY

As a procurement manager for Helios Commercial HVACR, your responsibilities may include sourcing and purchasing materials and equipment necessary for the maintenance and repair of commercial HVACR systems. This may include negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods while maintaining high quality standards. Additionally, you may be responsible for inventory management, budgeting, and strategic planning to optimize procurement processes.  The procurement manager will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing activities within their region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, ensuring supplier contractual obligations are met, and establishing strong working relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials and equipment.
  • Procurement Process Management: Overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, from defining requirements and sourcing to purchase order creation, approvals, and receipt of goods, while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Monitoring supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns, and fostering collaboration to maintain high standards of product quality, delivery reliability, and service level.
  • Inventory Control: Working with field management teams to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and ensure that critical materials are readily available for operations and maintenance needs.
  • Supplier Contract Management: Negotiating, reviewing, and managing contracts with suppliers, ensuring that terms and conditions are met and align with the organization's requirements and goals.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring that procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory standards, as well as internal policies, and proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Leading and mentoring a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and performance.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Accounting background & HVAC/R or related construction industry experience is highly preferred but not required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Multi-tasking mindset and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with teammates
  • Goal oriented, results driven
  • Understanding Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Teams
  • Proficiency in various software i.e. Sampro, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school education or GED required; Associates and/or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years purchasing experience required.
  • Demonstrated procurement and purchasing experience.
  • Proven flexibility and dependable performance.

Helios compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.  The base pay for this position ranges from $55,000 in our lowest geographic market up to $75,000. in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Helios’s compensation may also include annual bonus, commissions, equity, sign-on payments, as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

**This position is hybrid.
