Product Design Engineering Manager - Augmented Reality Glasses

Our team is part of the Meta wearable HW team working on next-generation AR glasses. This role will be responsible for growing and managing a team in support of the ARG roadmap.

Product Design Engineering Manager - Augmented Reality Glasses Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of PDEs on a fast-moving program from concept through production.
• Responsible for design of mechanical components and system integration, meeting the key program pillars (ID, quality, cost, etc.).
• Work closely with Electrical Engineering (EE), Systems Engineering (SYS), Design Verification (DVE), Technical Program Management (TPM) and our Contract Manufacturer (CM) to ensure the product requirements are met.
• 10% travel to the factory to support factory builds and testing (FATP).

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience managing a technical team or leading technical projects.
• 5+ years working on consumer electronics with large cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Experience launching one or two products, from concept through mass production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years working as a lead on consumer electronics with large cross-functional teams.
• Experience launching multiple products, from concept through mass production, with multiple companies.

$170,000/year to $240,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
