About TG...

Tarabut Gateway (TG) is the first and largest regulated Open Banking platform in the MENA, with offices in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE. TG connects a regional network of banks and FinTechs via a universal application programming interface (API). By offering tools that allow the facilitation and distribution of personalised financial services, TG enables financial institutions to build a new world of financial services in MENA.

From our earliest days, we quickly became the region’s first applicant to a ‘regulatory sandbox’ through the Central Bank of Bahrain.

The clear objective is to build an infrastructure that accelerates an industry transformation. A multisided platform that connects banks, FinTechs, merchants, in the MENA region all on one platform, enabling a new realm of partnerships to be forged.

Fast forward to today, TG is in partnership with the largest banks in many countries. Our products are ready to be shipped to several markets. At present we are focusing on scaling up our software engineering and product team to continue to better serve the lives of all 550 million people in the region.

This is the beginning of our journey, and as we see early stage FinTech start to emerge in other jurisdictions, there is no better time than now for the TG Platform to play its part in driving this new realm of financial services in MENA.

TG has already secured $25million investment in 2021 alone, including breaking records by securing the largest FinTech seed round in MENA history. Investors include (but not limited) Tiger Global, Target Global and Lumia capital.

What you'll do...

As our Product Manager for PIS (Payment Initiation Services), you’ll be one of earliest hires and playing a key role in the delivery of our PIS product line.

Our team’s mission is to build, support, improve and scale our Open Banking platform that ultimately provides a world class user experience. From high-end, responsive applications, to event driven microservices, our AWS hosted platform will enable a new wave of customer experience in the region.

Our Technology team will be spent on designing a scalable and repeatable payments architecture. Products focus is on value creation through new features and enhancements in line with strategic business outcomes. Your focus is ensuring a delightful customer experience and long term enable new revenue streams for TG.

Combined with competitor/market analysis and data, you’ll enjoy interviewing customers and prospective partners to identify product opportunities and validate hypotheses through discovery. You’ll work with customers and stakeholders on research, needs, and translate these into requirements, a strategy, roadmap, and deliverables. You’ll define key metrics to drive product performance and improvement. You’ll support product positioning and collaborate with product marketing and wider teams on product documentation and collateral.

You’ll work closely with our software engineers on how to leverage APIs, varying API standards, integrate with other APIs and services. You’ll be hands-on across the business planning our iterations, sprint planning, setting commitments and priorities. You’ll need to ensure that payment services and development meet required regulatory specifications too.

You will be an active contributor to supporting team growth and delivery as we continue to create a progressive, modern Product function. We seek team players that have low ego but high ambition. Requirements

We’ll rely on you to become an SME on Open Banking API and ecosystem, setting best Product practices across TG’s Open Banking platform. You’ll also act as the complete product owner for such products and features. You’ll have experience supporting products through their entire lifecycle.

We need you to have...

• Experience as Product Manager/Product owner and with a track record of designing and delivering innovative and delightful technology products
• Experience managing products in the payment landscape
• Strong market understanding, including new business models and offering of the banks, Fintechs, and tech companies and great knowledge of building of Payment gateways / SDKs / APIs
• Sound knowledge of PSD2, Open Banking and SCA requirements
• Knowledge of modern product discovery methodologies
• Experience in the design process, understanding research techniques, service design, user feedback to iterate on product, experience, and own decision making
• Working in agile, focussing on delivering outcomes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder experience
• Innovative and commercially minded, passionate about creating products that reinvent or disrupt the industry, by transforming the status quo and current capabilities
• Confident to challenge limitations, push tech-enabled possibilities and make complex decisions and recommendations
• Cross-functional collaboration, working with Commercial, Technology, Compliance & Risk, Finance, and Ops.
