We are seeking a Product Manager with retail CPG or Private Label experience to support the operational and product aspects of our expanding Private Label business. This role serves as a critical bridge between the Product Office and the Sales Department, facilitating smooth communication, efficient project execution, and strategic alignment. Acting as the marketing voice of Sofidel in front of key retail customers, this individual will support category management, product development, and marketing initiatives across both digital and customer-facing platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Category Management:
• Serve as the key liaison between the Sales team and Product Office, driving Private Label product development initiatives and ensuring alignment with customer-specific needs in the CPG space.
• Lead and manage high-impact Private Label development projects for major retailers (e.g., Sam’s Club, Costco, Target), ensuring they align with Sofidel’s operational capabilities and market expectations.
• Leverage CPG-specific market data tools like Circana to analyze trends, monitor category performance, and identify new growth opportunities.
Customer Engagement & Support:
• Represent Sofidel as the category and product expert in customer-facing meetings, particularly with large national CPG and Private Label retail accounts.
• Provide support on sustainability, packaging, and operational capabilities tailored to each customer’s strategic goals.
• Coordinate customer-specific projects, including:
• Walmart Luminate reporting and product-related initiatives.
• Backup support for Walmart and Costco audit processes.
Advertising, Events & Communications:
• Manage Sofidel’s brand and product advertising presence in key CPG and Private Label-focused industry publications, such asProgressive GrocerandStore Brands.
• Lead development of branded editorial inserts to position Sofidel as a Private Label leader in the North American market.
• Support planning and execution of the PLMA 2025 trade show, with a focus on elevating our private label positioning.
Sales & Customer Tools:
• Develop and maintain best-in-class customer-facing tools, strategic documentation, and presentation materials for Private Label CPG clients.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years in Retail CPG or Private Label product management
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to manage complex projects
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools a plus
