Product Marketing Manager

Viewpoint | Portland - Hybrid

Based in Downtown Portland (soon to move to Lake Oswego office) 3 out of 5 days a week with hybrid or work from home available as an option the other two days a week.

This role focuses on our Accounting Job Cost ERP solutions within Trimble Construction One. Viewpoint Trimble Construction One is a connected, cloud-based construction management suite that drives productivity, efficiency and accuracy at each phase of the construction project lifecycle.

The Product Marketing Manager is the voice of the customer into the Marketing, Product, and Sales teams and is comfortable and curious with partnering with sales engineers and product managers to enable sales teams in the messaging and positioning of our Accounting & Job Costing products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development of accounting and job costing marketing content and customer research tools, techniques and reporting with our seismic sales enablement tool.

Lead new product launches in the go-to-market process, coordinate new feature introduction communications and messaging for customer awareness to drive user growth for Viewpoint Vista, Viewpoint Spectrum and ProContractor.

Understand the competitive landscape-be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.

Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.

Understand and document our buyer's process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.

Plan annual strategic customer event to obtain market voice of customer and roadmap feedback for Product management team.

Gather competitive data to aid better product positioning and create sales battlecards.

Engage in the creative process for marketing collateral, presentations, website content, videos and client case studies.

Coordinate with leaders across the business in a collaborative manner and comfortable juggling many priorities and can establish priorities for other stakeholders and can coordinate with international product management and sales teams on aligned strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, tech-savvy, comfortable with leadership in a collaborative setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Undergraduate Marketing or Business degree preferred
  • Capable of developing seller facing enablement and marketing content, messaging and copywriting
  • Strong research and analytical abilities of the competition
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and sell ideas and actionable solutions to internal and (sometimes) external stakeholders
  • Comfortable in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Office Products, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • B2B Marketing related job experience is preferred
  • Enterprise Software, accounting or construction industry experience a plus
  • Simple video editing experience is a plus
  • Comfortable with working on creative projects with design resources

In a hybrid role, you will work with your manager to establish a mutually agreeable schedule for your time worked in the office based on the position and the business need. Typically hybrid positions are 1-3 days per week, or 20%-60% of the month in the office.
