Your Impact

As a product operations manager for the TASER business unit of Axon, you will be responsible for creating life saving products and devices. We have done this for >25 years with our line of TASER Energy Devices and your role will be to optimize the current TASER business, along with each of the TASER devices that we currently sell. You will be responsible for partnering with the operations team to enhance Axon’s business processes and improve gross margin in the TASER Segment. You will partner with Sales and other organizations to prioritize demand for the new TASER energy weapon to have the greatest impact in the first year of its adoption.
At the TASER business unit, our singular goal is to “Protect Life” by obsoleting the bullet and introducing other lifesaving products. This is a big mission, but it’s one we’ll pursue relentlessly every single day. What You’ll Do

Location: Scottsdale, AZ, in office 3 days a week
Reports to: Director of TASER Products - In Market
Direct Reports: None, IC role

  • Own lifecycle and execution plan of sunsetting devices and rationalizing the TASER product portfolio. Partner with engineering and operation teams to optimize TASER product portfolio for field performance and profit margins.
  • Prioritize initiatives to improve bottom line performance of TASER business segment.
  • Develop initiatives and projects to mitigate short and long term operational risks that could impact TASER business.
  • Establish processes to maximize cross functional cooperation in executing on Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Accelerate TASER adoption in international markets through coordination of international improvement projects.
  • Operate with a fair degree of autonomy while proactively reducing ambiguity for your team and your cross-functional peers and partner organizations.
  • Proactively see around corners to anticipate issues with product design, operational excellence, and customer experience.
  • Develop and manage tracking and reporting processes to provide visibility and consistency in operational excellence; improve efficiency and scale our ability to service customers
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Business or similar field
  • 2+ years of cross functional work experience with focus on establishing processes, analyzing and improving business performance
  • Experience working with operations teams
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate complex organization and stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel for customer visits (including international) (5%-10%)
  • Experience working with law enforcement, military, or other governmental agencies is a plus
  • Requires eligibility to work in a firearms environment

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 90,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 160,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 110,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 190,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
