Job Description
TheProduction Controlleris responsible forscheduling day-to-day manufacturing operations, working with the Operations Manager to ensure efficient production, quality control, and compliance with safety and industry standards. This role focuses on production scheduling, ensuring material availability, analyzing manufacturing processes to recommend optimization objectives, scheduling production teams, and driving continuous improvement to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a track record of improving operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Track daily production operations to ensure safety, efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Develop and enforce production schedules, workflow management, and resource allocation.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve operational performance and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, leads, and frontline employees, ensuring safety, accountability and high performance.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the production environment.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, implementing solutions to enhance productivity.
• Coordinate with QA to maintain high product standards and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and industry compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure raw materials are available for production.
• Work with Engineering to streamline manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to optimize inventory levels to reduce waste and improve cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor MRP System to ensure material availability and accurate reporting
Qualifications and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Degree in a related field and/or
• 5+ years of experience leading in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a role involving scheduling or project management
• Experience in welding techniques and welding certification requirements preferred
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software.
• Familiarity with scheduling software and principles
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
The successful candidate should have:
• Experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety compliance, and quality management systems.
• Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management are a plus.
• Welding fundamentals knowledge

This job operates in a professional industrial environment that includes operating in manufacturing areas that are not climate controlled and in office areas. This role routinely involves standard office equipment and the ability to use a smart phone. The noise level in the work environment can be above normal levels requiring hearing protection. You will be exposed to fluctuation in temperatures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
