Production Lead

Gowen Milling Blytheville, AR is currently looking for a production lead. This person will report to the production supervisor to ensure daily safety, quality, and production goals are met.

Job Duties

• Responsible for assuring all EHS policies are being followed in production area and production line.
• Responsible for ensuring assigned production area meets all EHS requirements.
• Responsible for conducting inspections of production area.
• Work closely with safety departments on maintaining safety supplies in area and training personnel on EHS procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring proper housekeeping and cleanliness of designated production unit.
• Production
• Capable and knowledgeable of all production and packaging equipment.
• Ensure production targets are achieved.
• Quality
• Responsible for assuring all quality policies are being followed.
• Work closely with the quality department on batch sheets, classifying materials, and all quality matters.
• Maintenance
• Responsible for working closely with maintenance department to ensure equipment is being maintained.
• Changeover
• Responsible for ensuring effective and timely cleanout.
• Personnel
• Lead packaging personnel and production personnel in assigned area.
• Assist in training and monitoring of staff performance.
• Work with production supervisor to manage staffing assignments of designated area.
• Provide effective training to all new and existing staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Regularly required to remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
• Occasionally required to move around plant site.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 5-50 lbs.
• Occasionally lift and/or move objects more than 100 lbs.
• Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting pulling, and pushing.
• Certified to operate a forklift.
• Confined space entry.
• Knowledge of all EHS and Quality policies. Have the ability to train other personnel.
• Capable of following written and verbal instruction in English.
• Capable of using tools and training others in their use.
• Possess a working knowledge of math and communication skills as it pertains to assigned task.
• Building evaluation qualification
