Production Machine Operator

1 & 2 shift- Sunday to Thursday Must be flexible with schedule Compensation $20-$27 DOE A machine operator at PAFCO plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing and packaging of seafood products. Key Responsibilities • Pre-Op Procedure: Performs pre-op procedure of each equipment from the line with the product before production to guarantee optimal functioning and achieve target results. • Operating machinery: Run processing equipment used for filleting, freezing, packaging, labeling, etc. • Monitoring production: Ensure machines are functioning properly and products meet quality and performance standards. • Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and report issues to maintenance technicians. • Sanitation: Ensure machines are kept clean and that work areas are organized to meet food safety regulations. Collaborates with the sanitation department for daily and extensive equipment sanitation processes. • Documentation: Record pre-op procedure, production results, machine performance, and any incidents. Skills & Qualifications • Attention to detail: Essential for spotting defects or machine issues. • Physical stamina: The job often involves standing for long periods and handling heavy loads. • Mechanical aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery. • Teamwork: Work closely with other operators and supervisors. • Food safety knowledge: Understanding of hygiene and safety standards in seafood processing. Typical Work Environment • Cold and wet conditions due to seafood handling. • Fast-paced production lines. • Shift work, including early mornings or nights.
