Professional Line Chef

Our acclaimed Thai tapas restaurant, a beacon of culinary innovation and flair in the heart of the city, is on the hunt for a talented Line Cook to enhance our kitchen brigade. With a menu that creatively reinterprets traditional Thai flavors for a tapas-style experience, we offer an exciting work environment for culinary professionals looking to refine their skills and contribute to our vibrant food scene. Responsibilities • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions • Clean up station and take care of leftover food • Stock inventory appropriately • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Requirements • Must have wok and high heat cooking experience • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks • Familiar with industry’s best practices • Culinary school diploma Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Food provided Shift: • 10 hour shift • 8 hour shift Ability to Commute: • Philadelphia, PA 19107 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Philadelphia, PA 19107: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
