Job Description
LS Technologies is seeking a program analyst with an accomplished writing skillset who will support concepts research and development around manned and unmanned traffic management within the national airspace.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize development of advanced aviation concepts as they pertain to the National Airspace System (NAS) to include unmanned aircraft systems integration, Air Traffic Control (ATC) modernization, and future technologies.
- Perform concept development and validation activities in support of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM), Upper E Traffic Management (ETM), and Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
- Perform analysis and conduct activities designed to develop and refine operational concepts, including use case and scenario development and analysis.
- Develop professional quality (e.g., academic or research type) documents including white papers, technical reports, briefings, and related products.
- Interface with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stakeholder organizations in support of concept development and validation initiatives.
- Interact with FAA partners and industry to identify and document stakeholder needs/inputs, serving as a thought partner in research and development.
Required Experience:
- Five to ten years' experience as a program analyst, research assistant, or in a comparable position.
- Ability to articulate oneself in writing to convey advanced concepts for future airspace management; familiarity with (or strong interest in) airspace and aircraft operations.
- Proficient with MS Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong people skills to ensure effective and efficient working relationships with customer and peers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience with FAA and/or a passion for or interest in aviation.
- Proficiency in conducting or assisting with academic or private research including literature reviews, collection and analysis of data, etc.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree.
