Program Manager
KBR's Team Beskar is the Agile Software Engineering and DevSecOps component of the company. We specialize in providing our customers with a comprehensive, one-stop-shop solution to any DevSecOps initiative. Team Beskar is comprised of multiple specialty fields that allow KBR to provide our customers with forward leaning DevSecOps support.
Our Team Beskar members are breaking new ground at the Space Force, changing the way the Department of Defense builds software. We build, measure, and learn, creating war-winning software iteratively. No longer are we building off multi-year plans with stacks of requirements.
KBR requires a Program Manager located in the Colorado Springs, CO area to support the Space CAMP, Platform One, and various other DevSecOps programs. These programs are responsible for producing rapid software capabilities to USSF and USAF customers throughout the world. These efforts consist of highly skilled software developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, cyber security, and IT specialists. Program Managers also balance team needs, organizational outcomes, and technical feasibility to build value quickly while still considering the big picture. Our teams are flat and balanced, with Developers, Designers, and Product Managers working in concert, empowered to build the software we know our warfighters need.
The candidate should be experienced and successful at administering and executing the technical and management processes for establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, and function, relating to its requirements, design, and operational information throughout the product life cycle. The candidate should enjoy and have experience performing in a dynamic and collaborative environment and have comprehensive acquisition/procurement experience (e.g., drafting RFPs, CDRLs, estimating costs, and leading technical evaluations of proposals). The candidate must work well with a widely dispersed team and be assertive in capturing key inputs and data to incorporate into various products, processes, and programs on a daily basis. The candidate must also have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening). Proficiency with developing presentations (PowerPoint) and written documents for executive-level review and consumption is necessary. Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and processes, a plus, but not required. Likewise, familiarity with DoD and international military protocols, customs, and courtesies, is a plus, but not required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Plan/execute initiatives and special projects in order to realize vision for the organization and mission
- Develop and execute project/program plans from tasking through completion using common US Government IT tools and practices
- Assist the government in developing requirements and manage those requirements
- Develop, review, and deliver high-level, professional products for the government (e.g., drafting RFPs, CDRLs, acquisition timelines, leading tech evals of proposals, and estimating costs)
- Use of Microsoft Office suite of applications/tools to develop and publish products for senior executive review, coordination, and approval
- Drafting correspondence on behalf of government for wide distribution to key mission stakeholders at tactical and strategic levels
- Preparing government senior leaders for meetings and engagements, ensuring all relevant information is conveyed and fully understood to support discussions and decision-making
- Develop plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for several major portions of a program
- Establish and define program plan requirements and direct or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans
- Coordinate interdepartmental development of program plans
- Interfaces with vendors and customers and performs extensive investigations as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years of Project/Program Management experience and extensive experience with DoD Acquisition/Procurement processes and procedures
- DoD Clearance Requirement: TS (or ability to obtain TS)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills is a must
- Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and/or mission transition or centralization projects is ideal, but not required.
- Management experience with DevSecOps or other Software Development efforts
- Business Analyst tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Managing project cost, schedule, and performance
- Identifying and developing project requirements
- Communication skills with customers, end users, and analysts in order to provide recommended contractual language to specific test-related sections of solicitations
- Working with geographically dispersed teams to produce documents and presentations for senior executive and stakeholder consumption
- Engaging with customers at both working and senior levels
- Developing and executing project/program plans from tasking through completion using common IT tools and practices
- Knowledgeable in the application of distribution statements, destruction notices, and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses
- Professional writing skills, to include Staff Summary Sheets (SSS) and "ghost" writing on behalf of senior government leaders
- Using Microsoft Office suite of applications/tools to develop and publish products for senior executive review, coordination, and approval
- Prepping senior leader(s) for meetings and engagements, ensuring all relevant information is conveyed and understood to support discussions and decision-making
The Candidate will have to show practical and demonstrated program management skills with emphasis on communication and stakeholder engagement with the following required skills:

Salary Range is 110-150K and will be based off of your background skills and abilities at it relates to the position
